Bringing Communities and Systems into Harmony

Many culture, equity, and inclusion consultants rely entirely on abstract theories. They give a one-time presentation, hand over a generic rulebook, and leave without actually changing daily workplace habits or fixing broken relationships. Open Deck Strategies is different. Led by a veteran public defender and institutional equity executive, my work is built on two real-world strengths:

• A Grassroots Approach to Outreach: I build trust from the ground up by conducting deep, intentional listening sessions with community leaders, students, and everyday staff members—especially those who have been historically pushed to the margins or feel suspicious of institutional authority.

• Building Systems of Access: Because of my legal training, special education experience, and years directing equity inside complex organizations, I know how to translate community needs into real organizational structures. I don't police people or enforce top-down control.
